SAP Transport Basics : 3

DEV : Integration system
QAS: Consolidation system
PRD: Delivery System

Transport Routes:-

Consolidation Route:
             The route between DEV to QAS is known as ‘Consolidation Route’.Only in consolidation route, the object can be change & we can transport it to one system to another.

Delivery Route:
              The route between QAS to PRD is known as ‘Delivery Route’.
Changing of object is not possible & we can’t transport it in delivery route.

Change Request (CR) becomes Transport Request (TR) when it is released (SE10).

Types of CR:
Customizing: having flag ‘cust’ (client specific)
Workbench:  having flag ‘syst” (cross client)

=========================================================================

Transport Organizer: (SE10):

Manager creates CR & assigns it to others which is known as Tasks.

Here,
SHDK901522 --> Parent Request (CR)
SHDK901523 --> Child Request (task)
Requests are assigned to owner. Only assigned user can see & work on that task.
Child Request must be released first then Parent Request

2 states of CR:
Modifiable: means further recording can happen
Released: means once you release task, then you cannot use that task again
